Sugar Cane Festival

Where: 5th Street and Berks Street, South Kensington, Philadelphia, PA 19122
Join us on June 16th for the Eighth Annual Sugar Cane Festival, the Official Start of Summer in Latino Philadelphia hosted by Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM)!
The Sugar Cane Festival attracts thousands of visitors over the course of the day. Each year, Sugar Cane Festival attendees look forward to receiving information and presentations by community businesses andorganizations, as well as listening to great music. We plan to once again offer residents information about the benefits of recycling among other activities. We’re also planning to have a children’s area with family-friendly activities and games, as well as a variety of health and human services information.
The 2012 Sugar Cane Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 16 from Noon to 5:00pm on Fifth Street between Berks and Norris Streets, as well as along Hewson Street. We’re looking forward to a wonderful event again this year as it continues to grow, and hope that you can join us.
We invite everyone to enjoy this special day!
